Wardrobe Wednesday

Looking towards Fall in this week's Wardrobe Wednesday...or California weather anytime of year, ha.  The key here is layers, while it serves the great purpose of keeping you warm it also adds dimensionality to your photos as well as changing up your looks by incorporating the layers for some  of the photos and leaving them by the way-side in others.  These looks and so many more can be found this week at The Gap...psst 30% right now too!

Happy Birthday Baby!

I was thrilled when I woke up this morning to hear that the Mom from a recent maternity shoot was finally going into labor!  She is a client that I am honored to also be able to call a friend.  We had a lot of fun playing around in different parts of their home.  In honor of the new baby's arrival, here are some shots from her very first photo shoot.  I know Big Sister will take the role on with smiles & hugs.

Although the little guys is excited, he is also saying, 'but hey! What about me?!'

I had the pleasure of photographing this family last week just before they welcomed their new addition. I love this black & white series showing big brother's excitement and love for both baby & Mom!

This was a really fun shoot we did at the Palace of the Fine Arts.  This is a location that I have wanted to shoot at for a long time because of the beautiful iconic San Francisco back drop it provides.  I look forward to shooting here again, although it can be a challenge since it is such a popular destination.  However, as you can see it was like this couple were the only two there!  Afterwards we headed to Crissy Field Marsh so we could get some shots with the bridge and more of the city.  See below, I really love the image with the moon so low in the sky and reflecting on the water.
