This past weekend I had the true honor & pleasure of photographing and attending two wonderful events.  The first was The Main Event, Samaritan House's annual gala benefit.  This was my second year volunteering with Samaritan House, an amazing organization that supports San Mateo County, and photographing The Main Event.  Each year it gets better and better and it was a beautiful night of great people giving to a wonderful cause.  To top it off it was their 40th Anniversary!

Following this great event, was yet another great event down in Los Gatos where I had the privilege of photographing an event with Khen Rinpoche, Founder of the Siddartha School.  He travels the world teaching and sharing his wisdom with the world.  He gave a talk on attachment, shared his humor with us and guided a beautiful meditation.  Here are some shots from this once in a lifetime event.

                

               

Mountain View Family Session

This past weekend I had the pleasure of getting together with a family I photographed almost a year ago for the little  Birthday party.  This session was really nice because it was all family focused and they even had a sweet little addition that I had the true pleasure of meeting!

The other fun thing about this shoot is that they were our most recent contest winners!  They won a free Mary Bea Photography photo shoot by telling us what is meant to them to have a photo shoot.  Mom made a good point by saying things get busy with two kids and they hadn't taken the time recently to capture their growing family.  I was honored to be able to do that for them.  I know these are pictures that they will treasure for a lifetime!

Trip Travels

I am just recently home from a wonderful trip to Vietnam & Cambodia with my Mom.  We traveled with AMA Waterways both on land and by sea on the RV AMA Lotus and we had an absolutely amazing time.  I am currently wading my way through editing my photos from the trip, check out some of the early edits here.  Have you ever travelled to Asia?  If so, what was your favorite country and/or city? 

Comfort is Key

Headshot photo shoots are no fun unless you make them fun!  That is exactly what this client & I succeeded in last week.  When you are feeling comfortable and yourself that is when you are most beautiful/handsome in front of the camera.  As you can see she was feeling very comfortable!
